MyUnfollows
This tool shows you who isn't following you back on Instagram, and vice versa. It compares the two lists and gives you direct links to each profile.
To use it, you'll need two files: following.html and followers_1.html.
📥 These files are provided by Instagram — we'll show you exactly how to get them.
🔒 This tool never asks for your Instagram username or password.
Never enter your Instagram login anywhere except the official Instagram app or website.
Do you already have these files downloaded?
How to download your Instagram data
1
From your profile, open Settings, then go to Accounts Center → Your information and permissions → Export your information.
Works the same way on the mobile app or in a browser — wherever you're more comfortable.
2
Tap the option to start a new export (usually labeled something like "Create export"). Easy so far!
3
Select your account if prompted, then choose "Export to device"
(not "Export to external service" — that's a different option).
4
Look for an option to customize what gets included, clear any pre-selected items, then scroll to the Connections section and keep only followers and following checked. Save your selection.
5
Set the date range to cover all time, then start the export.
Can take a few minutes to a few hours — Instagram's doing the heavy lifting here.
⚠️ Important:
If you don't set this to "All time", Instagram will only export recent followers/following, and the tool will show incorrect results.
6
Almost there! Once it's ready, you'll get an email. Download the .zip file, unzip it, and look inside the connections/followers_and_following/ folder.
You'll find following.html and followers_1.html waiting for you.
